UAE Leader, Russia's Dmitriev Hold Talks on Bilateral Cooperation

(MENAFN) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, conducted a critical meeting Sunday with Kirill Dmitriev, Russia's special presidential envoy for foreign investment and economic cooperation.

Dmitriev delivered personal regards from Russian President Vladimir Putin during the high-level encounter, while thanking the UAE for facilitating U.S.-Russia-Ukraine trilateral negotiations designed to advance dialogue and diplomatic resolutions to the ongoing Ukraine conflict.

The discussion centered on expanding bilateral collaboration across economic sectors, investment opportunities, and development initiatives between the two nations.

Both parties also addressed multiple topics of shared strategic interest.

Russia and Ukraine participated in direct negotiations that wrapped up Saturday on UAE soil. However, the two-day sessions—which included United States participation—concluded without producing concrete agreements or joint public statements.
