Russia's Inflation Rate Drops to 5.6 Percent in 2025
According to a central bank press release, food prices surged 5.2 percent, non-food goods climbed 3 percent, while service costs jumped 9.3 percent.
Core inflation metrics held steady within an annualized 4 to 6 percent corridor, the Bank of Russia reported, pledging to sustain restrictive monetary conditions until inflation returns to its 4 percent target.
The dramatic decline marks a significant easing from last year's elevated levels, though service sector price pressures remain stubbornly elevated at nearly double the overall inflation rate.
