Russia Imposes Entry Ban on Japanese Journalists, Academics

(MENAFN) The Russian Foreign Ministry declared on Tuesday that it has barred 30 Japanese reporters and researchers from entering the country, as a countermeasure to Tokyo’s punitive policy directed at Moscow.

"As part of the response to the ongoing so-called sanctions actions of official Tokyo against our country, linked to a special military operation, it was decided to indefinitely ban 30 Japanese citizens from entering the Russian Federation," stated the ministry.

The ministry also released a roster of the sanctioned individuals, detailing their full names, professional affiliations, and job titles.
